ecoblue masters – Berlin 2023
It was an very special setting in which the „ecoblue Masters“ took place. In the former theater Säälchen at the Holzmarkt 16 of the best foil fencers in the world dueled.
With Lee Kiefer and Alexander Massialas from the USA, the two top ranked fencers in the world were competing. Other US fencers such as Jacki Dubrovich, Gerek Meinhardt and the runner-up from Milan, Nick Itkin, also accepted the invitation to Berlin. The only German starter was Leonie Ebert from Tauberbischofsheim.
In the end, the favored Lee Kiefer rejoiced in the women’s competition, while Nick Itkin celebrated winning the „Golden Foil“ in the men’s competition.

ecoblue masters – weekend schedule
There was more to the ecoblue masters than just the tournament! The weekend started with the Players Night on Friday Evening and the drawing of the tableau for the competition in a fancy restaurant. The fencing tournament on Saturday was followed by the award ceremony on a boat cruise with chill beats and delicious barbecue. On Sunday the weekend was rounded off with a visit to the former Olympic Village of 1936 with a guided tour of the museum.
